Job Opening in Matola
Job Title: Sales Assistant
Work Location: Matola, Mozambique
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, with a 2-hour lunch break at noon
Monthly Basic Salary: 15000 – 20000 MZN
Basic Recruitment Criteria
- Age range: 24 – 35 years old;
- Male candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team with daily administrative and operational tasks;
- Prepare quotations, sales orders, invoices and all other relevant sales documents;
- Follow up on customer order progress and track payment status;
- Coordinate with the finance department to guarantee timely order fulfillment;
- Communicate with customers for order updates, overdue payment follow-ups and document formalities;
- Maintain and update customer profiles, sales records and outstanding receivables data;
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve routine operational issues promptly.
Job Requirements
Work Experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in sales support, customer service or general administration roles;
- Candidates with prior experience in lubricants, tires or import & export trading industries will be prioritized.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational skills and outstanding time management capabilities;
- Meticulous working style with high focus on details and data accuracy;
- Able to work both independently and collaborate closely within a team;
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities;
- Capable of working under tight pressure and delivering tasks before deadlines.
Computer Proficiency
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook;
- Prior experience operating ERP systems (Kingdee, SAP, Odoo, etc.) is a plus.
Language Proficiency
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
